The 2022 Hyundai Creta is not coming to the US. Its position is now taken by the Venue crossover. The Korean company is expanding the lineup. After the new largest SUV, Palisade, and the premium Genesis GV80, they added a vehicle smaller than Kona. Fans believed it will be Creta, but the crossover is limited to only a few markets, including Russia, China, Brazil. During the first generation, the vehicle carried the ix25 nameplate. You know the Tucson was previously known as the ix35.
The new model is not going to bring major changes to the second generation. The company is focused on other projects, mostly related to electric drivetrains. One of them is Nexo Fuel Cell crossover. Meanwhile, the 2022 Hyundai Creta is going to cover the same markets, missing the two major stages – Europe and United States. But, if it continues to perform well, we can soon see it under Tucson in Germany, France, Italy…
