The 2023 Hyundai Venue is going to be the smallest vehicle by the Korean carmaker in the USA. It is not the smallest unit ever built, with the Casper being below the Venue. The crossover is a perfect urban vehicle for everyday commuting. The new model is out since 2020 and it is not covering too many markets. In the US, the price starts at $18,750. Everything under $20k is drawing a lot of attention. Nevertheless, expectations shouldn’t be high.
The crossover is the refreshment for the lineup. The subcompact segment is not too popular, but the 2023 Hyundai Venue offers the choice to fans of the Korean company. Also, the manufacturer is showing a lot of ambitions recently. We saw the debut of the Palisade three-row SUV and the premium Genesis GV80. Hyundai finally started the production of the Santa Cruz truck. Venue is just another cool choice that will make the squad even wider.
2023 Hyundai Venue Engine, No Hybrid
The performance of the 2023 Hyundai Venue is not going to stun you. A 1.6-liter four-cylinder block is under the hood. It cannot deliver too much power, sitting at 121 hp and 113 lb-ft. For the city drive, that is more than enough. But, the acceleration is poor on the open road. You will definitely need something bigger if you like to travel a lot. Intelligent Variable Transmission is mated to the engine. Hyundai dropped a manual gearbox for the new Venue. For some buyers, it was a good option, but the share of those purchases was very low. The gas mileage is 29/33 mpg with the front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is not going to be available for the subcompact crossover. The company doesn’t plan hybrid or electric versions as well. There is a bigger Kona for buyers looking for such configurations with electric support.
Space and power are not the reasons why you will buy the 2023 Hyundai Venue. Still, the small crossover is efficient and affordable. Plus, the Korean company is a step ahead of the competition with the features available in their vehicles. There are three packages in the lineup. The offer starts with the Venue SE that uses 16-inch wheels. Automatic headlights are one of the best features coming in the safety package, which also includes emergency braking and lane assist. Inside, the center of the infotainment system is an eight-inch touchscreen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility is standard and the sound system is the base one, with four speakers.
The Venue SEL upgrades the offer with larger 17-inch wheels. Drivers can select a drive mode from Normal, Sport, or Snow. The audio system now features two more speakers, and an additional USB port is installed. Climate control is automatic for the SEL package. Leather wraps the steering wheel, while the rest of the upholstery is cloth. On the safety end, blind-spot monitors, and the rear cross-traffic alert are added. Optionally, you can add the Premium Package with LED lights, heated seats, power sunroof and navigation. Infotainment is upgraded to the Blue Link Connected Car system. The top of the class 2023 Hyundai Venue Denim adds unique paintjob in two shades and premium leather inside the cockpit.
2023 Hyundai Venue Colors
The crossover is relatively new. So, the biggest changes on the 2023 Hyundai Venue could happen in the color palette. Currently, the base offer includes seven paintjobs: Scarlet Red, Black Noir, Galactic Gray, Stellar Silver, Ceramic White, Green Apple and Intense Blue. The cabin of the SE model is black. The only difference between the entry-level version and the SEL is that the upper trim level adds a gray interior. Unique Denim color combines a blue body with black top. The interior features upscale materials in a dark theme.
2023 Hyundai Venue Pricing
The MSRP of the 2023 Hyundai Venue will start under $19,000. The SEL is a $1,000 upgrade and Denim will start above $22,000 before any add-on. For example, the SEL offers a $2,350 Premium Package. Denim is going to offer separate upgrades, such as roof rails, cargo net, or different floor mats.
