Later this year, Audi will unveil its all-new electric car, which will be called the Audi 2024 Q8 E-Tron. It will be the successor to the current E-Tron model. But not only the name changes, but the interior and exterior of the car will also be revised. Updates to the vehicle’s exterior will be visible primarily from the front. The most visible change will be the grille. The redesign of the front fascia includes a new pattern. Headlights are also slightly revised and given a more modern shape.
In general, the entire front end has been updated to reduce the drag of the vehicle, so even the radiator grille of the vehicle becomes active. This part closes when the speed exceeds 50 km/h to reduce air resistance. In the rear end of the vehicle, you’ll spot a new bumper and the taillights have also been slightly modified. The silhouette of the vehicle remains the same. There are no significant differences from the previous model. All the mentioned changes are aimed at reducing the SUV’s air resistance and improving the mileage. The new 2024 Audi Q8 also comes with new 21-inch wheels that feature a new, more modern design.
2024 Audi Q8 Specs and Towing Capacity
The new Audi Q8 2024 will also be powered by two electric motors, like the current E-Tron model. For the standard model, the motors will deliver 350 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque, while the S-Line variant produces 415 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. Like the E-Tron concept, the new Audi Q8 SUV will also feature an all-wheel drive, popular Quattro system. Primarily, the SUV uses the rear-wheel drive under normal driving conditions. But, in special cases, the vehicle switches to all-wheel drive.
The biggest change will certainly be in the car’s batteries. Although the capacity is higher (from 95 Kwh to 110 Kwh), the size is still the same. Audi achieved this by arranging the batteries differently and by using the new nickel-cobalt-aluminum (NCA) cell chemistry. All the things we have mentioned will help 2024 Audi Q8 to travel 370 miles on the European WLTP standard. And that is an increase of 30% from the previous model. A new more powerful engine and new aerodynamic features of the car will help Q8 reach 0-60 in just 4.3 sec. Towing capacity is not changed and remains at a respectable 4000 pounds.
2024 Audi Q8 E Tron and Other Packages
Changes on inside the cockpit won’t be as significant as those on the outside. Still, there will certainly be some. The center console of the dashboard will have two displays, just like the old model. The main screen will be 11 inches and the second will be 8.3 inches. The third display will be a digital instrument cluster with updated graphics. Among the standard features of this modern SUV are Amazon Alexa, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Satellite Radio.
As additional features, you can get a wireless charging pad, 360-degree camera, and many more. Sound will be provided by Bang & Olufsen speakers. In addition to the standard equipment, which will include a lot of high-tech gadgets and features, the new 2024 Audi Q8 also implies the possibility of a surcharge for additional options such as an 80 AMP charger, new wheel options (21-inch 5-arm Aero Structure design wheels, and 22-inch 6-segment-spoke design wheels) heated leather seats, memory for seats and side mirrors and much more. Also, Audi will offer 3 optional packages.
Premium Package comes with Valcona leather seats with ventilation and massage function on the front seats. Part of this grade is also the Leather Package. The interior gets additional leather details on the instrument panel, knee pad and armrest. Heated rear seats, multicolor ambient lighting and charging ports on the rear seats are also notable additions.
Technology Package adds 360-degree camera, parking AID +, active lane assist, traffic sign recognition, HUD, turn assist, and adaptive cruise control. For lovers of a stealthier look, there is the Black Optics package. This one brings a meaner look thanks to black windows trim, black front mask, black mirrors, black front mask, and a grille.
Release Date and Prices
Audi has not yet announced the official release date of the new 2024 Audi Q8, but we expect it to go on sale late in 2023. The prices will increase slightly from last year’s model. It will start at $75,000 for the base model and go up to $90,000 for the S-Line variant.
Competition in this Modern Full Electric SUV market is huge and will include BMW iX, Tesla Model Y, Cadillac Lyriq, Mercedes-Benz EQS, and Genesis GV60. But we hope that the new Audi will find its way to customers with its new design and significantly better autonomy.
