Traverse offers only a V6, without further choices. On the other hand, the competition is already taking advantage of hybrid setups to provide more efficient options to its buyers. However, General Motors is currently working on a few all-electric vehicles, so it seems like hybrid technology is not a priority at the moment.
The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse will remain a reliable SUV for long family trips. The vehicle is 205 inches long, which might position it in the full-size segment. Tahoe and Suburban are the best options if you are a fan of the bowtie logo. A smaller Traverse leaves Blazer as a two-row model in the mid-size class. The third row offers more room than you can find among the competition. Still, some rivals are offering V8 engines. So, Traverse remains bigger, but with a smaller and less potent mill.
2024 Chevrolet Traverse Packages and Accessories
Picking the right version of the vehicle is not always easy. The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse will make it even harder with plenty of options the company is offering. There are no choices for the engine room, but everything else makes it up. The base version is the LS. Highlights of this edition are 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, tri-zone climate, the option to get eight seats, and second-row bench heating. There are also a few notable safety options, providing peace of mind to passengers.
The 2024 Chevy Traverse LT is available in cloth and leather variants. The first one upgrades the previous trim level with roof rails, fog lights, captain’s chairs in the second row, a power-adjustable driver’s bucket, and a wireless charger for smartphones. The leather steering wheel is standard even for the LT Cloth model. The LT Leather comes with heated seats and a steering wheel, power-adjusting system for the passenger’s seat, larger touchscreen and gauge displays, as well as a power liftgate. The Premier version is a high-end option with a price tag close to $50k. For this price, you are getting unique styling with chromed details, a hands-free liftgate, memory settings for steering wheel, mirrors, and driver’s bucket, and ventilated front seats. The only model that beats this offer is High Country. Designers will pack the latest tech and safety features in this trim level.
2024 Chevrolet Traverse Redline Edition and Fresh Colors
One of the things we expect from the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse is the comeback of the Redline Edition. This was an optional package for certain packages. However, the company discontinued the bundle after the redesign. Well, some updates will happen on the 2024 YM. Old fans wish Redline, but GM could prepare something new and original.
There is no too much more to expect, besides optional packages and an update of the color palette. A current edition comes in four shades for the base configuration. Those are Silver Ice, Summit White, Mosaic Black and Northsky Blue, all metallic. The LT trim unlocks Silver Sage and Black Cherry, plus a couple of premium options – Iridescent Pearl Tricoat and Cherry Red Tricoat. Higher trim levels bring only different choices in interior materials and styling themes.
Specifications, Hybrid Engine

Well, it opened a discussion – what could be the next choice for the SUV? According to rumors, that is a hybrid. In the reality, it is hard to believe. General Motors still misses delivering such configurations to the compact class, where hybrid crossovers dominate the market with exceptional efficiencies.
So, for now, the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse sticks to the V6 and its 310 hp. Also, through a 9-speed transmission, the engine sends 270 lb-ft to rear wheels by default. Optionally, an all-wheel drive is providing more traction. Gas mileage is not so great, and a hybrid system could fix it. On the other hand, the Traverse can tow up to 5,000 pounds, which is the class average.
Pricing
The base MSRP of the SUV is $35,000. Again, that is what we expect from an SUV with a V6 engine. All-wheel drive adds $2,000 and seems like a reasonable upgrade. Another way to the expansion of the lineup might be to the all-terrain vehicle. Such a package is also missing for the current Traverse. Cloth, LT and RS are mid-range versions, priced under $50,000. Premier and High Country are above this mark. Heavily loaded, the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse might be priced close to $70,000.
