Still, that makes the ride cozier, safer, and more expensive.
What matters the most – the build quality and the engine are pretty good. The 2024 Dacia Duster will share them with its close relative – Renault Captur. The French company is a member of a big international alliance. Renault is sharing engines, platforms and experience with Nissan and Mitsubishi.

The 2024 Dacia Duster EV is going to be built on the Spring concept. It is the platform for a small city crossover. Simplicity and practicality are keys. The concept is for city drive and there it performs the best. However, you can take it on the highway, but don’t expect too much. Plus, the recharging network is not so big and you can end up without a place for recharging the battery.
The range of the vehicle is around 200 kilometers (124 miles) in the city. The crossover is light and agile – perfect for urban cruising. A larger battery will harm those characteristics.
Standard Configurations
Depending on the market, the 2024 Dacia Duster will offer a variety of engines. After the most recent facelift, the compact crossover is using a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol unit as the main powertrain. It can create 101 horsepower and the fuel economy is superb. In US measures, the Duster returns 35 mpg combined. Still, we can find some more powerful hybrids in this market with better mileage. For example, Nissan Rogue.
A 1.5-liter dci is an old-school diesel engine. In its most potent variant, it delivers 110 horsepower. There are a few more potent configurations, but those are available on special editions of Renault vehicles. The fuel consumption is under 6 l/100km, or more than 40 mpg in the US. Extra Urban drive mode saves even more fuel and drops the consumption to 5 l/100 km (47 mpg).
There were also a few other petrol setups available across the globe. A 1.6-liter inline-four is dropped from some dealerships already. Too bad, because it is more potent than a 1.0-l turbo. However, if you are looking for more power, then a 2.0-liter is the best choice with 146 hp. a 1.3-liter turbo is the newest Renault mill. You can find it powering Duster in India. We hope it will be available in more markets in 2024.
2024 Dacia Duster Pickup Truck (Oroch)
The concept was launched in 2020, but the sales are postponed because of the pandemic. Still, it looks pretty nice and we believe it will be a budget truck. The 2024 Dacia Duster pickup has a 1.65m bed (5’5’’) and it is based on the Renault Alaskan. After a long time, European buyers will have the chance to buy a Dacia truck. But, it is not the first time the company is producing such a vehicle. Oroch was pretty popular in Brazil, where it was built as well. So, the combination of the attractive price and decent performance is going to be available in more markets.
2024 Dacia Duster Extreme 4WD
The 2024 Dacia Duster Extreme will be the new top of the range version of the crossover. Main highlights of the package are special wheels and a unique paintjob. Previously it was “Urban Grey”, but Dacia could refresh the color palette. There are also a few special details that make the Extreme model different from the Prestige trim. Also, one of the coolest additions is a 4×4 drive.

The main advantage of the 2024 Dacia Duster and the reason why buyers are looking if it will be released in their market, it the price. The vehicle is a budget option. In the UK, the price starts at 18,000 pounds. The range-topping Extreme is a 5k upgrade. However, the price depends on the market. In some countries, fewer options are standard and the MSRP also depends on the engine choice. Of course, the 2.0-liter mill is the top-end version. The truck will rely on a 1.3-liter turbo.
