The company is offering automatic transmission and front-wheel drive as the standard configuration. Buyers can upgrade the ride with an all-wheel drive. A small displacement is returning respectable numbers – 25/28 mpg. For a vehicle of its size, the Eclipse Cross should do it better. The acceleration is sluggish and the crossover needs more than 8.5 seconds to reach 60 mph from zero.

A 1.5-liter turbo-four is the only engine available in the United States. The base package offers two paintjobs – Labrador Black Pearl and Alloy Silver Metallic. There are also two premium colors – White Diamond and Red Diamond. The 2024 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SE adds Lightning Blue Metallic, and the top of the class version SEL offers unique shades – Bronze Metallic and Mercury Gray Metallic.
Let’s check the options the trim levels are offering. There are four packages available – ES, LE, SE, and SEL. The base one comes with LED headlights and fog lamps for the new edition. Other highlights are 16-inch wheels, cruise control, and an infotainment system with a 7-inch screen, single USB port, and 4-speaker audio. Not impressive. The LE adds Larger wheels, black trims, heated front seats, a larger touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and one additional USB port.
The SE can be called a premium option with automatic headlights, silver accents, power-folding mirrors, power-adjustable driver’s bucket, navigation, keyless entry, and many other upgrades compared to the previous trim level. Plus, the Panoramic Sunroof package is available with a panoramic sunroof, as the name suggests, and black roof rails. The 2024 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SEL completes the lineup with the most advanced features. Those are leather upholstery, a 360-degree camera system, a blind-spot monitor and a heated steering wheel. For this one, the optional upgrade is a Touring package. It includes options from the Panoramic Sunroof bundle, plus HUD, emergency braking, heated rear seats, and a premium sound system with 8 speakers.
Pricing
Prices for the 2024 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross are going up again. Although unchanged, the company will sell the crossover for $500 more than before. The MSRP starts beyond $26,000. The LE trim is a $1,300 upgrade and you will have to pay at least $28,500 for the SE. Panoramic Sunroof costs $1,000. The SEL exceeds the $30,000 mark and you must pay another $2k for the Touring package. Some of the colors are premium and cost $600. There are several other features available for upgrading the Eclipse crossover, such as sports pedals, all-weather floor mats, hood accents, etc… If you decide to load the vehicle with all this stuff, the final price will be around $40,000.
