Multiple sources report that BMW is upgrading its largest SUV. Details are unknown for now. However, rumors are going deeper. Some say the X7 SUV is going to underpin the future pickup truck. At this point, there are no official updates from the German manufacturer. Even sources from its homeland are without any traces. So, what to expect from the 2025 BMW X7?
The luxury SUV debuted in 2019 and it was about time for the redesign. Interesting, the X7 lays on the ladder frame, unlike other big German SUVs. The only other model using this kind of the architecture is Mercedes G-Wagon, but it is much smaller.
The 2025 BMW X7 should be even tougher after the redesign. And no, the grille won’t be huge. As a matter of fact, some sources say designers are pushing the idea of a smaller grille and more aggressive front fascia. The gas mileage is poor, but the engine still returns over 20 mpg on the highway. The towing capacity is 7,500 pounds. However, it is not the main purpose of the luxury SUV. An all-wheel drive is standard (xDrive).
Top Model: Alpina XB7
The largest SUV in the lineup is not offering the M Performance package. But, the top-of-the-range edition is built by Alpina and it is called XB7. The current configuration makes it one of the most powerful SUVs in the market. It cracks out 630 horsepower. Not too many vehicles can do better – Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango with the Hellcat engine (707 and 710 hp) and Lamborghini Urus with a mighty V8 (640 hp).
The 2025 Alpina XB7 is there instead of the M package we find on other BMW vehicles. The performance upgrade is the main highlight, but you will recognize this model once you see it. High outputs need special parts to handle such power – suspension, brakes, transmission. Visually, the XB7 is darkened out and adds unique lighting groups, grille details, and side steps. 2025 BMW X7 Redesign, Next-Gen SUV Arrives in 2028

You probably see that Toyota Land Cruiser is no longer available in the United States. It might be back in the foreseeable future.
