Compared to the base version, it looks more aggressive, but the price is a lack of headroom in the back and shortened cargo room. Besides that, the two models are sharing all other options, including engines and high-end AMG versions. In the future, an electric EQC will be available. Still, the EV is using a different platform than the crossover with an internal combustion drivetrain.

2024 Mercedes GLC Coupe Specs
The base version of both body styles is the GLC 300. The entry-level drivetrain is a 2.0-liter turbo-four unit with 258 horsepower. Well, that is something fans expect from the luxury class. The engine also adds 295 lb-ft of torque. Engineers revisited the plant recently and the current configuration is more potent than before. Still, it doesn’t affect the fuel economy, which is still 25 mpg combined. An all-wheel drive, the GLC 300 4Matic, is optional and it consumes more gas.
AMG Models: GLC 43 and GLC 63
The company will definitely bring back the high-end AMG package for the 2024 YM, after a pause in the current season. There were two models available in the past. Fans hope both for the 2024 Mercedes GLC Coupe AMG 43 and AMG 63. Nevertheless, the second one is under the question mark mainly because of the V8 engine, which is somehow not suitable for a compact crossover, even if it was a luxury Mercedes. The reason why we still keep it as an option is a competition with BMW X3 M.
The AMG 43 would be a cool upgrade with a twin-turbo V6. Previously, it was capable of producing 385 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque. After retuning the base mill, engineers could do the same with a more potent plant. Do not be surprised if the AMG GLC 43 cracks up to 400 ponies. It will make it faster and more fun to drive.
Optional Packages: Pinnacle and Exclusive
There will be three versions of the 2024 Mercedes GLC crossover. Highlights of the base version are the MBUX infotainment system with a 12-inch vertical touchscreen. The revisit of the 2023 YM brought upgrades all over the cabin, including entertaining and safety systems. Of course, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. “Hey Mercedes” is a cool feature that will make commands easier through voice.
For the new season, the company is adding an Exclusive package. Buyers are getting an upgraded sound system by Burmester. Navigation is standard. This bundle also comes with a 360-degree camera view. There’s more – the 2024 Mercedes GLC Coupe also offers Pinnacle grade with HUD and heat/noise isolated glasses.
2024 Mercedes GLC Coupe Release Date and Price
The 2024 Mercedes GLC Coupe costs more than the standard-body crossover because of the specific look. But, most other options are the same. For now, the company announced the pricing of the base GLC 300 and AMG 43 versions. The price starts just under $55,000. Both Exclusive and Pinnacle packages add $2,200 in features. The AMG is a more serious investment. You will have to pay almost $70k to own this one, and that is the model with a six-pot engine. We are still waiting for the updates about the AMG 63 and a V8 plant.
The new GLC Coupe is already available in base and AMG 43 versions, while the standard body only offers GLC 300 package. Mercedes will add piece by piece until the 2024 season arrives.
Competition
The biggest rival to the 2024 Mercedes GLC Coupe is the BMW X4. Standard body competes with the X3. Either way, German companies are at a similar level. The base offer is there with turbo-four engines, and the high-end setups are exploiting high-output systems. Also, compact luxury crossovers are becoming very expensive with those upgrades, and even the base offer is not a bargain.
