New Trim Level: 2025 Hyundai Tucson N
The facelift is not updating the look of the crossover, but also the packages and features. A small reshuffle will make some options available at lower trims. Grades will be carried over. The entry-level model is the SE, the SEL is a mid-range option, while the most exclusive accessories are there with the Limited edition. Off-road XRT should be back as well, and the crossover is getting a performance-oriented 2025 Hyundai Tucson N package as well.
There are specs upgrades and unique parts that enhance the appearance. Under the hood, we expect a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine with 275 hp. The crossover will be much faster than the base version, which takes almost 9 seconds to accelerate from 0-60 mph. Tucson N will do it in 6 seconds max. More aggressive bumper, spoilers and sporty interior are also upgrades of the N package.
The base SE version is out with minimum equipment. That is why buyers opt for the SEL in most cases. This trim unlocks additional optional packages as well. Under the hood of the 2025 Tucson stays a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 187 horsepower. For the compact crossover, this is a fair amount of power. The engine adds 180 lb-ft of torque. An 8-speed auto is paired with the plant and sends power to front wheels, or all four corners on demand. Gas mileage is close to 30 mpg combined with the FWD, while AWD consumes more fuel.
If you are looking for a more efficient ride, the 2025 Hyundai Tucson hybrid combines a 1.6-liter petrol unit with electric motor. Buyers are getting extra power – 225 hp, more torque – 258 lb-ft, while the mileage jumps to 38 mpg combined. This is very close to class leaders that can do more than 40 mpg (Ford Escape, Honda CR-V, Toyota Rav4). A 6-speed transmission is a power router for the hybrid system.
A PHEV version is also available. Again, a 1.6-liter is the main source of power, while a larger electric motor helps the system achieve 260 horsepower. The 2025 Hyundai Tucson plug-in hybrid has 33 miles of electric range. Two powertrains combined return 80 MPGe. The bad thing about this vehicle is its price, which is significantly higher. You can also select only SEL or Limited trim levels.

Prices of compact crossovers have gone up in recent years. Nowadays, you need to spend almost $30,000 to get a base version. Tucson was one of the most affordable versions and it is currently priced at $27,500 (without destination and other fees). The SEL is already above $30k, and Limited could be very close to $40,000 in 2025. Blue Hybrid is an entry model for an electrified system and its price is $33,000. The PHEV starts at $40,000 and raises to $48,000 in the Limited package.
